Rolling Stone（ローリングストーン）誌の”500 Greatest Albums of All Time”の最新版が公開された。

歴代最高のアルバム500選　2020年改訂版

→Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Albums of All Time (2012)

2003年に最初のリストが発表され、2012年に一部改訂、8年ぶりとなる今回の改訂では、大幅に順位が変化していて興味深い。過去は不変ではなく、現代の価値観でその見え方が変わっていくことがよく分かる。2012年版まではロックがポピュラーミュージックの本流と考えられていたが、今や多くの流れの一つになったという印象。

3. Joni Mitchell “Blue”（同30位）
4. Stevie Wonder “Songs in the Key of Life”（同57位）

上位はほぼ変化無し。カニエ・ウェストのアルバムが新たに3枚入ったほか、レディオヘッドの「Kid A」が大きく順位を上げる（428→67）など、一部アップデートされている。
